Christmas came early!!!

Obadiah and Malachi have wanted a puppy for so long! We thought about other pets since mommy and daddy have bad allergies but other pets never worked out. Turtles? Nope. Snakes? Daddy said yes, but mommy said no.
Then we went to a friends house a while back and visited with her Teacup Yorkie. It was so cute and we noticed that we weren't sneezing! We did a little research and found out that this breed is especially good for people who have allergy problems! The boys have had their heart set on a puppy and it broke our heart to hear them tell Santa at the mall that they really wanted a puppy but they knew they could never have one because of mom and dad's allergies so we knew they'd be super surprised when we brought him home!
He's a Yorkshire Terrier and his name is Ezra.

You should have seen the look on their faces! Check out the video below for the exact moment the boys met Ezra.

tucking the boys in...

A note from Daddy: I just went to tuck the boys in and told them that "I can't even explain to you how much I love you." Malachi said, "why". And I told him, "there aren't even words to describe how much I love you." Obadiah looked at me and said, "google it."

TO THE GRADUATES!!!

Hey guys. It's me, Obadiah! This is me on the last day of school! I graduated to 2nd grade! To celebrate mommy dyed me and Malachi's hair green. You wanna know what's funny? She forgot to tell my Dad that it was permanent dye. Isn't that funny? Dad? You're not laughing Dad.

This is me with my best buddies Steven and Austin. They graduated to 2nd grade too!

These are my other best buddies and my neighbors, Coleman and Mason. Coleman graduated to 3rd grade and Mason graduated to 1st grade. We were so excited about our last day of school that we did a "LAST DAY OF SCHOOL DANCE"!!! Check it out!

This is my little brother Malachi. He graduated a few days later. He's going from pre-school into kindergarten! Way to go little brother! We're so proud of you!

This is from Malachi's graduation ceremony. He put on this crazy hat and him and his buddies were singing the craziest songs! It was way cool. After the graduation ceremony we went out onto the playground. It was so crowded that no one noticed that we went to the cookie table like 18 times! It was awesome!

campout

Hi everyone, we went camping on Memorial Day weekend and we wanted to show you some of the pictures we took.

One of the best things about camping is burning stuff up at the campfire! My big brother Obadiah prefers his marshmallows WELL DONE!

Maybe the best thing about camping is just being able to eat all day long. I sure do love strawberries!

Obadiah likes them too!!!

Uh-oh, the old people are starting to eat all our strawberries!!!

Oh great. Now Dad got ahold of them. That's it for the strawberries.

After dinner Obadiah had the brilliant idea that we should tell scary stories around the campfire. I thought that sounded like an awesome idea!

Daddy told us a scary story that really freaked Obadiah out. I was totally cool but Obadiah was crying about how he was never gonna be able to sleep again. It's hard to get to sleep when there are peg legged prowlers with hooks for hands going from campsite to campsite to kill little boys as they fall asleep in their tents. (...did you just hear something?)

So, we didn't sleep that night but luckily we had the next day off. So we drove all the way home, locked all the doors in the house and slept the day away. It takes a long time to recover from vacation.

conflict resolution

This is Obadiah and Zachariah... right before all the crying started.

Here I am, aren't I cute? I'm puttin' on my fight face. MOMMA SAID TO KNOCK YOU OUT!!!

rainy day fun

Have you ever heard of "Jowling"? That is when you get a digital camera close to your face and you shake your head super fast from side to side and take a picture. It usually makes your face look pretty distorted. Well, that is what we do on rainy days. Except we put our own spin on it, and we do it upside down!

This was dad's idea. We're not claiming this one.
Check out www.jowlers.com

Obadiah is a "NIFTY KID"!!!

Hi everyone, I asked my Daddy to come to my school today to take pictures of me receiving an award for being a "NIFTY KID"!!! This is when we all walked into the auditorium for the ceremony. You see that girl about three kids behind me? She's a little taller than the rest of us, and she's wearing a pink, white, and black top? That's Anika. She's SO pretty! I've got a MAJOR crush on her. One of my buddies told her and now her face gets all pink when I say hi to her.

This is when the principal called my name to receive the award. Everyone cheered SO LOUD! I walked right up to him, looked him in the eye, shook his hand and said "Thank you very much". Daddy says I should look someone in the eye when I greet them.

A few other kids got the award too. That's one of them sitting on the stage next to me. We sat up there while the principal talked about how great we were. I get that all the time, but it never gets old!

And here it is, the coveted "NIFTY KID AWARD"!!! I'd like to thank my parents, without you I would have never made it to where I am. I'd like to thank Anika, the future is looking bright for us. I'd like to thank Spencer, Simon, Gavin, Steven and Austin, you guys have always been there for me. I'm sure I'm forgetting somebody. (music starts playing) Thanks everybody! (much applause)

...and we're back!!!

Hi everyone! OK, since we moved into our new house we've been super busy, but the real reason we haven't been posting our nifty little stories is that we aren't allowed to use the computer without Daddy helping us. And he is lazy. You've met him. You know. Anyway, here are some pictures to get you up to date!

First day of school
My big brother Obadiah had his first day of school at the new school! When we moved into our new house we changed districts but he really likes his new school. He's made lots of new friends. He likes them all, but he REALLY likes Anika. Don't tell him I said anything.

Malachi & Obadiah
We went on lots of bike rides! Ever since I learned how to ride without my training wheels I've been riding my bike whenever I get the chance. Obadiah is still a little faster than me but that's OK. Don't we look rugged in our helmets? Daddy got a vintage camera, and he's really geeking out about it. That's why this picture looks goofy.

MY BIRTHDAY!!!! YES! I turned 4! I'm getting so big so fast, I'm gonna catch up to Obadiah in no time!

My birthday is right before Halloween so we got vampire teeth for my birthday! Obadiah was so happy for me that his eyes went crazy!

I had my birthday party at the play place. They have a climbing wall and big foam cushions and a dress up room and tons of toys!

Guess what? It was my buddy, Mason's birthday too! We were so happy that we had our birthday party together. Our parents seemed really happy about it too. I think maybe because they are so cheap and this way they only had to pay for half a party.

Sweet! We all got dressed up for Halloween! We had such a blast! We went trick or treating and we went to church! Check out our costumes! What's that? Is Spongebob Squarepants throwing gang signs?!?!?! Don't do that Spongebob! We live in Rosetown fool!

Whoa, wait a minute! Who is that masked mystery man in green?

WARNING-Do not look directly into my eyes. My lasers may melt your face off!

We got Tee-Peed!!!

Mom and Dad told us to look angry for this picture so that they could make their friends feel bad but we were so happy! It was super cool. You know why? 'Cause we didn't have to clean it up!

Isn't it the perfect tree? It was freezing out there, and our noses were all running like crazy. Daddy said he was gonna go look at the other trees but I caught him sneaking back to the pickup and turning the heater on!

It was my turn to put the star on top this year! YES!!! I've waited all year for this!

I got to put up the star which means that Obadiah got to put up the angel! This is gonna look so good!

All done! We can't wait for Christmas! We keep telling our mom and dad whenever we see something we want. We yell out, "MOM, DAD, I want one of those!" about every fifteen seconds. We're planning on wearing down their defenses so that they'll buy whatever we want. We'll keep you posted on the results of our experiment.

fathers day

Hi guys, it's me Obadiah. We wanted to share a few pictures from our Father's Day hike. Daddy said that to hike around Spring Lake was all he wanted for Father's Day. And that's WAY cheaper than what we had planned on getting him so... hike it is! We took our scooters and Dad walked. This is the trail up to Spring Lake.

Here it is. Isn't it beautiful? Well worth the 4 mile hike! We love Spring Lake and we even stripped down to our shorts and jumped in for a bit!

WHOA!!! Wait a minute! I don't remember seeing this sign before! Oh man, we gotta get outta here!!!

OK, back to safety. We figured it was best to head back to the playground. I don't think the Mountain Lions would want to hang out here. Too many noisy kids.
Plus, there are water fountains to play in. And it was hot! So, once again, we stripped down to our shorts and jumped in!!!

MALACHI!!! DON'T DRINK THAT WATER!!! Oh man, that can't be good. Oh well.

Anyway, we had a great time, and Daddy said he had a wonderful Father's Day!

let's go fly a kite!!!

Hi everyone! It's us again. Dad had the day off and it was beautiful outside so we went to the park. It was a little windy so Dad brought the kite along just in case the wind picked up.

That's my big brother Obadiah. He's pretty smart now that he's graduted kindergarten! He got to fly the kite first. He said it was hard to hold on to it. I didn't believe him. I thought he was trying to trick me so that he could fly it all by himself all the time.

Here I am jumping up to try to get the string away from Obadiah. "Give it to me dude!!!"

Ahh... Here we go. Now we're talking! I didn't believe him when he said that it was hard to hold on to but he was right!!! That stinking kite dragged me all over that park! My Daddy was laughing so hard. All he could do was laugh and take pictures while my life hung in the balance. Way to go dad.

Aloha!

Aloha! We haven't been around here lately because we've been soaking up some sun over in Hawaii!!! Here we are on the plane. A plane ride to Hawaii sounds like so much fun. Turns out it's a really long time to sit in one place. I think my Daddy was trying to drug us so we would sleep. He kept saying, "Did you cough? I thought I heard someone cough. Here, have some Benadryl." I wasn't fallin' for it though!

When we finally got to Hawaii we rented a Jeep and we kept the top down almost every day.

It was super windy in the back seat. It was so windy that when we were driving we couldn't even open our mouths to talk. It was so quiet when we drove! Mommy and Daddy kept saying, "We gotta get one of these!"

Here is the lagoon at the hotel where we stayed. We were in Oahu. It was really really pretty there!!! Can you see the rainbow?

The first big trip we took was to the Sea Life Park. When we got there we looked at all kinds of animals and then we got to go swimming with the dolphins! The dolphins feel kind of rubbery but harder than we thought they would feel like. The water they swim in is totally salty!!!

We even got to dance with the dolphins! The coolest thing was that there was a baby dolphin in the pool with us! It was only about 2 feet long and it would jump up out of the water! We got to feed it too! One of the trainers broke a small fish in two pieces and handed us each a piece. The guts got all over our hands. That part was not cool.

The next day we went to Waikiki beach. Can you believe how clear that water is?!?!?!

Me and Daddy entered a karaoke contest back at the hotel! We sang "American Woman" by Lenny Kravitz. We got second place! We lost to some kid who sang "Who let the dogs out". We demand a recount. It was rigged.

The next day we went to the North Shore. The North Shore is known as a surfers area. We found this cool looking old "woody" car that surfers seem to love. We also found a killer beach where we all tried body surfing! It was really fun.

Body surfing os SO MUCH FUN!!! There were 6 foot waves so Malachi didn't last too long. Neither did mom's bikini. So those two hung out on the beach and me and Daddy body surfed until we were exhausted!

A really nice lady told us how to find a special beach where the Green Sea Turtles come up on the shore to lay their eggs. We found the beach and there where three turtles up on the beach and we could see a few more swimming around in the ocean too! You can see two of the bigger turtles in this picture.

We spent the next day at Hanauma Bay. It was so beautiful! The beach was amazing and Mommy and Daddy rented snorkeling gear for all of us. Malachi didn't dig having his face down in the water so he stayed at the beach. Mommy chickened out when a killer fish tried to eat her. We found out that the fish was about six inches long. We called her "scaredy-fish" for the rest of the trip. She hates that.
Me and Daddy swam around the reef for a long time. We saw so many beautiful, colorful fish! We even saw a four foot fish plow through a school of fish chomping on the smaller fish!!! It's was so awesome!

When you have a vacation that is this epic someone's gotta come back with a tattoo!!! Mommy and Daddy chickened out on their tattoos so Malachi and I had to step up to the plate! We got traditional Polynesian tattoos on our arms! I think we got ripped off though. Out tattoos are starting to fade! Daddy's tattos never fade! I'm going to go to Daddy's tattoo artist next time I want some ink!

Daddy asked us to post this picture. It's kind of fuzzy but he says it makes his abs look good. Anyway, here we are. The happy family. We had a GREAT time! Thanks for checking out our pictures! We didn't want to bore you with all of the pics so we only showed you some of our favorites. If you like our pictures and you want to see the rest, CLICK HERE to check out the rest of the pics!

Mahalo!

(that means "thanks")
