Fun at the farm

Hi guys, it's me, Obadiah! Me and my little brother Malachi went over to our buddy Preston's house to visit him the other day. He lives on a farm. Check it out, he's even got his own tractor!!!


That thing is fast! I tried driving it, but I had a hard time with the shifter and the pedals. I think I'll just watch while Preston drives Malachi around the yard. I think Preston has a hard time with the steering too. He goes until he runs into something and then the wheels just start spinning, then he throws it into reverse and starts all over again.


You can only play "Let's run over Obadiah with the tractor" for so long, so we decided to go visit "Porkchop". Porkchop is Preston's pony. Porkchop isn't very big, I'm just as tall as he is!!


We took some baby carrots with us to give to Porkchop. He eats them right out of your hand. Kinda slobbery though! Malachi was not too happy about sharing the carrots so he tried to shove them all in his mouth at the same time!


Not me though! I shared ALL my carrots with Porkchop.
That's why we're such good buddys!!!

4th of July

Hi there, it's me, Obadiah! For the 4th of July we got to go sailing on this boat!!! That's our new friend Monty. He lives on the boat, can you believe that?!?!


I got to sit up front and watch the water go under us. It made me feel kind of wierd. It made Mommy feel weird too. She had to hang off the side of the boat for a little while. She felt better after that.


That's downtown San Diego. See the really old looking boat with lots of sails?


Here we are... the men... hanging out... doing what we do.


We sailed right past this buoy with real live sea lions on it!!!


We also sailed right by this old skool boat. It looked pretty cool, it must be a lot of work to put all those sails up the pole thingys.


I got to steer for a little bit!! It was really cool, you could feel everything moving around when you spin the wheel. They didn't let me steer after I spun it though. I think they were just jealous of my sea-worthiness. AHOY!!


We put Daddy and uncle Ben to work.


While they were working, Mommy, Malachi, and me were working on our tan!!!


After a long hard day of sailing we watched the fireworks over the bay. It was really sparkly.

Vacation!!!

Hi guys!!! Malachi here. This is me, and my Mommy, and my big brother Obadiah, and my auntie Lindsay at Sea World. We are getting ready to see Shamu!!!


Shamu is frickin' HUGE!!! That thing jumps RIGHT OUT OF THE WATER!!! I could not believe my eyes!


Obadiah got to feed the dolphins! I pet one really quick, but it thought that I had food too. It opened it's mouth real big and I was outta there!!! NO WAY am I sticking around something that big, that opens it's mouth that wide, so close to my tiny little head!!!

AAHHH.... Starfish!!! That's a little more my speed. I can handle starfish, they're cool, and a little slimy, which is a plus.


Obadiah got to pet the starfish too. He got a little grabby if you asked me though!


Obadiah thought he was so cool that he touched the stingrays even though I wouldn't. He didn't think it was so cool when they TOTALLY SPLASHED HIM!!! Oh man, I laughed so hard. He smelled like fishy salt water for the rest of the day.


OOH SCARY!!! We loves us some Sharks! We took these pictures in the tube that goes right through the Shark tank. It kind of freaked me out when this one showed us his teeth!


The one that is closest to us is a leopard Shark. You can also see two black tipped sharks right behind him. I don't know what on earth that stupid fish is thinking?!?! I would be outta there in a heart beat if those Sharks were swimming around me!!!

we love it when friends come to visit!!!

Our best friends Zachariah, and his little sister Micah came to visit us for a few days!!!

We were just trying to look cool for the picture but Daddy told us later that we were probably making gang signs and that we have to be careful or we might get in trouble.

I hope the po-po aren't peepin' out our site yo!!!

We went to the mall and climbed all over this huge statue of a hand! Our favorite activity is being as loud as we possibly can while we try to get away from our mom's at the mall. Mommy said something about getting a leash, I'm not sure what she means since we don't have a dog or anything?!!?


Zachariah and I are SPEED DEMONS on the scooters!!!
LOOK OUT!! We'll run you over!!


AAWWW MAN!!! What a drag!! Right when we were having fun Zachariah took a header off of the scooter. That's gonna leave a mark!!!

We went camping!!!

We had a great time going camping with our buddy Preston. It was lots of fun.

We love it when we go camping with Preston. He brings along his mommy and daddy and they pack up everything in their entire house and bring it with them.

This is definitely my favorite thing about camping, YOU CAN PEE WHEREVER YOU WANT!!! This is awesome. Why can’t we do this in everyday life?

We had this awesome inflatable raft that was so comfy that Momma and Malachi both fell asleep on it, right in the lake!!! They both turned a pretty cool shade of pink.

It’s hard work to play this much, and each so much candy, and play in the water!!

feels like summertime

Obadiah and I have been discussing our long term life plans, and we're seriously considering becoming nudists. Nothing like sitting around in the buff on a lazy summer morning munching on cheerios and watching Spongebob.

Dad said that we needed some exercise so we went for a bike ride.
It was more of a bike pull for him, we were the only ones with the free ride.

Safety First!!! Don't we look smashing in our helmets?!?! I've got a Finding Nemo helmet, and Obadiah has a Rescue Heroes helmet. Dad's helmet is boring. I think we'll save up and get him a super cool Spongebob helmet for Father's Day!!!

On our way home we noticed that one of our neighbors had THIS freaky looking thing out in the sun. Turns out it's a Bearded Dragon.
A REAL LIVE DRAGON!!! Look at it!!! It's mouth is open, and I'm not gettin' too close... just in case it starts breathing fire. I'm no dummy, I know, I watched Shrek!

After we hung out with the Dragon for a little bit the lady who owns it said that we could pet it. I kept petting it, but it was prickly, so I would touch it real quick and then run away and hide. I was way too quick for Dad's digital camera. Obadiah didn't want to touch it, and Dad wanted a picture with one of us touching the Dragon. I was too quick, so it was down to Obadiah. He kept crying, like a little baby, but Dad finally talked him into petting the Dragon long enough for him to get the picture. Well, we're pretty tired after the bike ride and playing at the park so we're gonna go take a nap. Talk to you later!!!

NEWS FLASH: MALACHI FINALLY SAID “DADDY”!!!

OK,OK, I finally decided to give in and let him hear it. I couldn't watch him cry himself to sleep anymore, it's embarrassing you know?

Daddy was so happy he stood there, clapped his hands, and shouted out loud, “YEAH”!!!! He’s so happy. Now maybe he’ll quit pissing and moaning about how I call him Spongebob.

We went on a ROAD TRIP!!!

Mom and Dad told us to pack our bags ‘cause we were going on a road trip. They wouldn’t tell us where we were going because it was supposed to be a surprise!

We drove for a LONG LONG time and stayed at a hotel! The hotel was lot’s of fun, because Mommy and Daddy let us jump on the beds!!! They never let us do that at home. When we woke up the next day they told us that we were going to go to the Monterey Bay Aquarium!!!

It was so cool!!! Here are some of our favorite parts. We really liked the Sharks!!! You can’t see it real good, but that’s a shark swimming by my head!!

Another thing that we really liked was the Jellyfish!!! They were so pretty, and they were all kinds of colors. These ones were the prettiest!!! They were pretty big. The main body part of these orange ones is about the size of one of my soccer balls!!!

There was a “splash zone” where we could touch the starfish, and sea cucumbers, and manta rays! Daddy laid me on my tummy on the railing so I could reach down far enough to touch one of them. When it got close, I changed my mind and decided I didn’t really need to touch a manta ray after all. So I was trying to get as far away from it as I could when it popped right up out of the water and that manta ray was looking right at me!!! That scared me SO BAD!!!

After we changed my shorts we went to a play area where we could pretend that we were fish. We both climbed into a huge clam to pretend that we were pearls!

Then I put on this costume to pretend that I was a turtle. I’m just like the turtle on Finding Nemo, “Hang ten, DUDE!!!!”

Then we went out on a deck where you could see right into the water! We could even see a few starfish!!! It was pretty cold though!

We were done with the whole COLD thing, so we headed back to the heated pool at the hotel. We spent most of our vacation at that pool!

Daddy made Mommy wait to take the picture until he sucked in his gut and puffed up his chest!

On our last day at the hotel we found a moth that was HUGE!!! This sucker was bigger than my hand. In fact it almost ATE my hand!

On our way back home we stopped by Auntie Rachel’s house to say hi and grab lunch. After lunch Malachi got his bottle, and I got a frozen yogurt with sprinkles! By the way, check out Malachi’s new haircut. It’s about time! Daddy was saying that Malachi was starting to look like Ted Koppel, whoever that is!!! All I know is that his hair looked like a full on helmet.

Daddy says that after a road trip you’ve got to wash the truck!! I’m pretty sure there are child labor laws about just such a situation, but I’m not one to complain so we helped out a little bit.

Unfortunately my little brother Malachi is unclear on the concept of car soap. Apparently no one told him that it was inedible!!!

He learned pretty quick that this stuff is good for cars, not so good for lunch!!!

p.s. Malachi wants you to know that he’s that much closer to making Dad go crazy by learning to say “Obadiah”, “hungry”, “please”, “water”, and “twinkle, twinkle, little star” without saying “Daddy” yet.
